INDIA: E&E Systems (India) Pvt Ltd and SUUS Electronics recently supplied the Raviz Kollam Resort Kerala Hotel’s Convention Center with an integrated audio visual system.
After considering the scope of the project, Sunish Jose of SUSS Electronics enlisted the assistance of E&E Systems (India) to provide an A/V solution for the 1,200-capacity centre’s main hall and the venue’s two separate dining halls. The client insisted that there were no budget constraints for the project, and requested the best system available for the premises.
Audio equipment installed in the convention centre included six units of EAW JFL 210 line array speakers configured three per side, with two EAW JFL 118 subwoofers in the centre, which are powered by QSC RMX 5050 power amplifiers. Meanwhile, Mackie Thump TH-15A powered speakers are utilised as stage monitors.
For live performances, the entire system connects to a Mackie Pro FX12 mixer. A QSC Rave 522ua DSP processor is described as ‘the backbone’ of the entire system. EAW CIS 300 two-way flush-mount ceiling loudspeakers were also incorporated into the venue, driven by QSC ISA 300 Ti and 500 Ti power amplifiers.
Sennheiser’s ew 152 G3 headset systems and ew 115 G3 wireless handheld microphone systems were selected for the install, as was an AMX control system, which comprised an EXP 8431 EXPerience Kit, an NXD 500i wall/flush mount touch panel with intercom, and a Ni 700 master controller unit.
Three Hitachi CP-X5021N projectors were selected for the venue’s visual system, and due to the distance of the projectors from the control room, the team had to create a video distribution system that could transmit HDMI video signals over a distance of 75m.
The client is said to have been ‘appreciative’ of the work completed by E&E Systems (India) Pvt Ltd and SUUS Electronics.
