EampE takes first place at the Singaporean F-1 Grand Prix

SINGAPORE: Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd was drafted in to supply and install a new speaker system for the winner’s podium at this year’s Singaporean Formula One Grand Prix racetrack, held at the Marina Bay circuit.

An EAW JFL 210 speaker system has been neatly suspended from aluminium trusses to the left and right of the podium, and this was used for the sound reinforcement needs of the opening ceremony, which included a live performer singing the Singapore National Anthem prior to the chequered flag being waved.

The EAW JFL210 compact line array loudspeaker incorporates dual 10-inch neodymium woofers with a horn-loaded three-inch compression driver, which reportedly provided ‘precise directivity with excellent bass response’.

As is one of its notable trademarks, E&E utilised the experience of its custom shop to create simple ‘quick install’ speaker brackets for suspending the JFL210 speakers throughout the venue, in addition to weatherproofing all the cabinets and its components.

‘The EAW JFL210 sounds good and the low frequency from it certainly outperforms the previous speaker system installed here,’ enthused E&E managing director Ronald Goh. ‘The Italians who manage the race were very happy with the sound.’

The race saw Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel claim his ninth win of the 2011 season. Leading up to the night-race, business was generated by many parties, events, music concerts, exhibitions and various dining and shopping experiences.
