EampE to assume EAW and Mackie distribution

SINGAPORE: The EAW and Mackie brands within the Loud Technologies portfolio are to be distributed by Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd (E&E) in an agreement due to take effect on February 1st 2011.

The deal was jointly announced at NAMM 2011 by Loud Technologies Asian Pacific sales director Dawvinder Sheena and E&E managing director Ronald Goh, who described the agreement as ‘a natural transition – the timing was perfect for both of us.’ E&E has been the Harman Pro distributor in Singapore for many years but began looking for complimentary products following the revelation that Harman Pro was employing the service of Mahajak in the territory from 1st February.

‘I have respected both EAW and Mackie products for their design flair and reliability over the years and naturally we’re honoured to be representing both brands in Singapore and Malaysia,’ continued Mr Goh. ‘We’re looking forward to promoting these loudspeakers, amplifiers and mixers to our established network of dealers, systems integrators and consultants.’

Mr Sheena was equally enthusiastic about the agreement. ‘Everyone in the region knows the strength of E&E and we feel honoured to have them on board,’ he explained. ‘ Their current changes in management with Gary Goh taking over the responsibilities of his father Ronald, and Daniel Goh taking on the role of country manager in Malaysia are in sync with Loud’s current expansion plans in the region. Mackie and EAW will be introducing new staff, training, events and customer support initiatives in 2011. Loud is not a US-centric manufacturer and is actively looking to develop products for the Asian market. Critically, this is where E&E will be a valuable resource. It certainly promises to be an interesting year ahead.’
