Eighteen Sound becomes fully independent company

WORLD: Following months of speculation, Eighteen Sound has announced that it is now a fully independent company in the complete ownership of AEB SpA. Furthermore, the Italian transducer manufacturer has relocated to a new dedicated factory located in an industrial area to the north of Reggio Emilia.
The new 4,000 sq-m facility is served by excellent logistics and is better suited to future expansions for which its automated production lines have been fully installed. In addition, the R&D department has gained new test and measurement equipment together with a new anechoic chamber and a listening room.
Formed in 1998 in the aftermath of neighbouring RCF’s sale to Loud Technologies, Eighteen Sound has enjoyed impressive growth during its first 15 years of business. Sales and marketing director Giacomo Previ commented: ‘We have drawn a road map to produce innovative products for years to come. Now that we have regained full control in our own dedicated factory, these goals can now be realised.’
