INDONESIA: PT Albeta Sukses Mandiri has designed and implemented an audio and control system for the Grand Indonesia complex; comprising the BCA Tower, the Kempinski Hotel, and the Grand Indonesia mall. Under the direction of Suyapto Tandyawasesa, an Electro-Voice audio system was installed into the complex, dubbed by some as ‘the jewel of Jakarta’.
After intense research, discussion and demonstrations, PT Albeta Sukses Mandiri equipped the presidential suite at the Kempinski Hotel with Electro-Voice and AMX control systems. Several other parts of the hotel were also equipped with Electro-Voice speakers and microphones, mainly comprising QRX series loudspeakers and Evid series speakers. Meanwhile, microphones chosen for the hotel comprise N/D767 vocal microphones and RE2-N7 wireless microphone systems.
An Electro-Voice spokesperson described the project as one that ‘proves the level of performance that Electro-Voice hardware is capable of’.
Originally opening in 1962, the Kempinski Hotel, the mall and office tower were simultaneously renovated in 2008.
