Entech Connect to host discussion on unsafe equipment

AUSTRALIA: Entech Connect is to host a discussion and presentation on knockoff and unsafe equipment and its impact across the Australian industry, at this year’s event. A panel consisting of industry experts from manufacturers to end users will assemble at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Melbourne, from 2-3pm on 24th July 2014.

The panel currently includes: Steve Devine from Meyer Sound/ACETA, Frank Andrewartha from Quest Engineering/ACETA, Peter McKenzie from Phillips Selecon/ACETA, and Andrew MacColl from Staging connections.

The free to attend session will cover the following topics: What is a knockoff and what isn’t? Not everything from China is a knockoff; involvement from organised crime in the counterfeit industry; economics and insurance issues; and safety compliance issues and exposure to legal actions.
