ETC makes a new Resolution

AUSTRALIA: Rental firm Resolution X has added lighting systems from Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) to its hire stock, supplied by Jands. Reportedly the result of customer requests, the purchase included Ion consoles, Gio consoles and ‘a large inventory’ of Source Four LED Lustr+ fixtures.
Commonly known as Res X, the company initially purchased the two smaller Ion consoles to meet rider requirements. The Gio desks were reportedly added as a result of growing demand.
‘The purchase was definitely a result of customer demand, particularly from theatrical designers,’ confirmed Marcus Pugh, business development manager at Res X. ‘The Gio was the next step up. We find that operators often like to program a show with the Gio, then once all the cues are loaded and the show locked in, they can transfer it into the Ion and take that on the road.’
Of the Lustr+ fixtures, Mr Pugh added that he believes them to be ‘second to none when it comes to LED profiles. So far the fixtures have performed flawlessly wherever we’ve deployed them.’
