ETF announces new industry show Entech Connect

AUSTRALIA: Entech organiser ETF (Exhibition and Trade Fairs) has announced that as from July 2012, it will host a second industry showcase under the Entech portfolio named Entech Connect. Event director Robby Clark promises that the new Melbourne show will be a ‘hassle free scaled back event’ that will enable new and local industry exhibitors to enter into the world of tradeshow marketing.

ETF made the decision to create the second event due to the fact that there was a strong demand from visitors for a local show, reporting that travel budgets have restricted the number of attendees travelling to the Sydney-based Entech show in past years.

Building upon the successful format of Entech’s seminar programme, Entech Connect will be a part tradeshow, part seminar event designed to provide an informal environment for members of the live entertainment industry where they can learn about the latest technology the industry has to offer. The 2012 show will feature industry leaders from Australia and overseas who will present key industry and technology developments, as well as giving attendees the opportunity to ‘ask the experts’.

‘Entech is an industry tradeshow that is extremely well known and trusted within the industry right across Australia,’ explained ETF general manager and CEO Jodie Richmond. ‘It is exciting to be announcing this key evolution in response to market demand with the introduction of the new Entech Connect show model in Melbourne.’

Elaborating on the reasons for creating the new show, Mr Clark said: ‘Entech Connect will create the perfect environment for visitors and exhibitors alike to meet new people. It will provide industry members in Melbourne with a showcase opportunity without the expense of teams having to travel to Sydney each year, and will not incur the sometimes prohibitive cost barriers associated with exhibiting.’

Entech will continue as a biennial show, and will co-locate with SMPTE at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in 2013.
