Extron files Cable Retractor patent lawsuit

WORLD: Extron Electronics has filed a federal patent infringement lawsuit against Crestron Electronics in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The lawsuit relates to an alleged infringement of Extron’s US Patent No. 8,740,127, titled ‘Cable Retractor’.
‘When Extron believes its inventions and patented technology have been copied or otherwise infringed, we take the necessary steps to protect our intellectual property,’ said Andrew Edwards, president and CEO of Extron.
According to Extron its patent relates to a cable retraction and management system designed to work with cable access enclosures.
