FaitalPro goes solar

WORLD: FaitalPro has announced that it is now utilising solar power. Located in the Cremona province, the roof of the brand’s Chieve plant was recently equipped with a substantial quantity of solar panels, which saw the company attain ISO 14001 certification.

In an installation that took two months, a total of 848 polycrystalline panels (Sovello Pure Power L) were installed into the roof of the premises, which are reported to each guarantee an output for 25 years.

‘The system’s installed capacity is 199kWp with an annual estimated contribution of 210,000kWh, equivalent to about 40 per cent of the Chieve plant’s current annual consumption,’ stated Flavio Naggi, FaitalPro audio division manager. ‘The official data indicates significant savings of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, almost 111,000kg per year, which means sparing more than 2,000 metric tons over the next 20 years,’ he enthused.

A Faital spokesperson stated that on a power level, ‘the new installation is aligned with the global policy for energy savings in terms of consumption’, adding that ‘it is not by chance that this photovoltaic system was designed to cover 40 per cent of the internal energy requirements. Plus it will prevent dumping several tons of harmful CO2 into the atmosphere every year’.
