WORLD: Following the retirement of Arthur Barnes, Fane and Precision Devices have appointed Mark Barnes to the role of managing director. The role will see the new MD assume responsibility for the overall management of both companies, where he will focus on directing them through a period of growth and development.
Mr Barnes has served as a director since the Fane acquisition in January 2007 and has seen his role expand from international sales to an increasingly strategic role within the two companies.
‘This is a great honour and a very exciting one at a great point in time for our businesses,’ commented Mr Barnes. ‘Since entering the industry in 1997 I have worked closely with Arthur and have gained invaluable experience in the strategic management of our loudspeaker companies. We are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth and we are committed to consolidating upon that and taking Fane and Precision Devices to the next level of expansion. We have an incredibly committed and dynamic team with a real passion for Fane and Precision Devices and speaker manufacturing,’ he enthused.
‘I am keen to work with our committed client network to continue to deliver the products they need, to diversify the brands into key new areas and to expand our operations into new markets,’ he furthered. ‘I consider myself to be very fortunate to have learned my trade from a great managing director and father, and look forward to taking Fane and Precision Devices forward to an exciting new chapter of our brand’s over 50-year history.’
Precision Devices has also welcomed Michael Hancock and Linda Coe as operations manager and production planner, respectively. Tim Pratt has also been recruited as the new head of marketing for both Fane and Precision Devices, taking on full responsibility for the development of the brands, strengthening customer relations and developing new business opportunities.
