FBT completes first Korean seminar with AD&C International

KOREA: FBT recently completed its first South Korean technical seminar at the Kintex exhibition centre, near Seoul. The event – which took place alongside the KoSound exhibition – was hosted in collaboration with the manufacturer’s long-term distributor AD&C International. FBT export manager Roberto Mataloni described the attendance as ‘outstanding’.

The seminar marked the beginning of a new momentum in Korea for FBT, which has enjoyed consistent market recognition in the territory for two decades. Alongside AD&C International, the manufacturer is now seeking to highlight the professional and commercial audio solutions that have transformed its core product offering in recent years.

According to Mr Mataloni, the event represented ‘a move away from the traditional exhibition booth model so that we could dedicate special attention to AD&C’s dealers and contractors, giving them an insight into FBT as a company, our resources, technology, products and applications. We were extremely happy to fly to Seoul and devote our time and energies to increasing FBT’s brand awareness while offering valuable technical information’.

The seminar began with a welcome address by AD&C’s David Yoon, followed by Mr Mataloni presenting a discussion of FBT’s past, present and future. Also at the seminar was FBT product manager Remo Orsoni, who presented equipment including the Mitus 206LA and Qube QA108A line arrays with dedicated subs, plus Vertus CLA, DLA, and MLA column arrays, Verve and Archon speakers, Shadow outdoor solutions, Project installation speakers and the J-Series and Amico portable systems.

‘The attendance was excellent and although the language barrier might have slowed the presentation, we had a fantastic translator who helped to create a connection between ourselves and the audience,’ explained Mr Orsoni. ‘That was very valuable as we enjoyed a strong dialogue with our guests, responding to their questions and helping them to understand the modern FBT.’

David Yoon added that AD&C has ‘worked extensively on building FBT’s image in Korea for many years and we have achieved fine results with a number of important projects encompassing Qube and Mitus line array installations, Shadow outdoor solutions and of course sales of speakers such as Verve, Mitus and Vertus to the market on all levels. Our clients range from MI retailers to the most demanding project contractors so events like this are important for explaining how FBT can help them. FBT is our loyal partner and they support us very much – we make a great team’.
