CHINA: Following successful gatherings in Beijing and Shenzhen, Oriental Prime Connections Limited Corporation (PCI) hosted its 2015 Technical Seminar in Chengdu. Taking place at the Chengdu Celebrity Upper Class Hotel, the event welcomed approximately 100 guests, ranging from systems integrators to pro audio dealers and performance groups. The aim of event was to provide professionals with up-to-date project solutions. It was supported with an FBT column array and point source speakers to ensure intelligible coverage for all participants.
The session began with an introductory speech from the founder of Beijing Oriental Prime Connections Film/TV Technology Limited Corporation, Mishka Chen, who briefly outlined the company's history and recent developments. This was followed by product demonstrations exploring the company’s latest AVC integrated conference system, PA and BGM solutions for theme parks and 3D immersive audio solutions for cinemas, amusements parks and museums.
The FBT loudspeaker system deployed to power the event comprised Vertus CLA604a active speaker columns with CLA208Sa active subwoofers for speech reinforcement during the product demonstrations. An additional four Mitus 206LA cabinets with SUBline 218Sa subwoofers were called into action to support a live demonstration of PCI’s attraction and float parade sound reinforcement system.
Following this, PCI’s Xiang Xiaoqiang treated guests to a dedicated FBT listening session, as well as introducing them to the FBT product line and providing technical training for Vertus. Guests were played a selection of test material through an FBT Qube 115A and QS118A system. ‘FBT is a worldwide Italian brand but has limited awareness in the Chinese market,’ explained Mr Xiang. ‘We wanted to show the audience how good its quality and performance is.
‘It has been a fruitful event,’ offered Mr Xiang. ‘We share the same ideas with guests coming today that there will be a lot of business opportunities in new markets such as theme parks, and by valuing partnership more than competition, PCI is ready for this growth.’
