FBT powers Zeus

CAMBODIA: Described as ‘the biggest disco in Cambodia’, the recently opened Zeus Club in Phnom Penh has been equipped with a full sound system from FBT. The design and installation of the project was handled by the manufacturer’s recently appointed distributor, Power Sound Cambodia.
The project has seen the installation of 16 FBT Mitus 206LA active array speakers and eight Mitus 212FSA flyable active subs. These have been installed as four hangs of four 206LAs with two 212FSAs providing low end. Further bass reinforcement comes in the form of six of the manufacturer’s Mitus 218SA bass-reflex processed active subs. Control of the system is handled by a pair of FBT’s DLM26 digital loudspeaker management processors.
‘Zeus Club is the first project for such a large entertainment complex for us to work with and our main challenges were to satisfy our customer, especially with the sound system,’ said Power Sound director Shikleong Hor. ‘The installation of FBT speakers into the club has fully satisfied the management team and the club owner.’
Away from the FBT equipment, Power Sound also supplied a DJ setup of four Pioneer CDJ-900 Nexus decks with a pair of DJM-900 Nexus mixers. On the lighting side, it also equipped Zeus’s dance floor area with over 150 lighting fixtures including 80 5R Beam moving heads, more than 50 LED wash lights, and 20 RGB lasers. Control for the lighting system is via an Avolite Pearl 2010 console.
‘After the opening of the club, we have not had any complaints about our sound systems. The FBT speakers have satisfied our customer beyond their expectations,’ concluded Mr Hor.
