Four VT4888 midsize elements were used for centre fills while foldback was provided by 26 VRX915M stage monitors, all driven by Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers.

At the front of house position meanwhile was a Soundcraft Vi6 loaded with V4 software, described as ‘probably the most intuitive digital board in the market’ by V&P Sound director Vishnu P. HiQnet System Architect was used to configure the system.

According to Mellesh T, chief system/mix engineer for V&P Sound, the VerTec system stood up to the rigours of the festival’s heavy metal theme. ‘The entire setup was perfect for hours of heavy metal music in a large outdoor venue,’ he enthused.
