First Lake LM26 shipment goes to Norwest

AUSTRALIA: Norwest Productions has taken delivery of the first shipment of Lake LM26 loudspeaker processors. The Australian production company – boasting offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Beijing – is a long-term user of Lake products, having been an early adopter of the original Lake Contour. The processors were supplied by Hills SLV.
Recognised internationally for its work in Australia and beyond, Norwest Productions has gained extensive large event experience using Lake processors, Dante audio networking and Lab.gruppen power amplifiers. ‘We are a long term and loyal user of Lab.gruppen which never lets us down,’ explained Norwest Productions MD Chris Kennedy. ‘It’s great to see a new Lake processor on the market and even more pleasing that it’s being built in Sweden by Lab.gruppen.’
Measuring 1U, the 2-in/6-out LM26 processors – designed to accept analogue, AES digital, or Dante (audio over Ethernet) digital audio at 48 kHz and 96 kHz sampling rates – are intended to provide seamless compatibility with the production company’s large inventory of Lab.gruppen PLM series amplifiers alongside Dolby Lake and Lake Contour Pro 26 units.
Group operations manager Graeme Whitehouse was equally pleased with the delivery, describing the decision to purchase the processors as ‘easy’.
