Former gold mine Lalla Rookh equipped with Apart

AUSTRALIA: Formerly a gold mine, the 150-capacity Lalla Rookh Bar and Eating House located 50Km north west of Marble Bar has been installed with an Apart Audio sound solution. The system was designed and installed by Rick Browne from Venue Technical Services, and utilises a wide range of Apart loudspeakers and electronics distributed by Syntec International.

For the Public Bar, eight Mask8-BL cabinet loudspeakers and four Sub2200 subwoofers were installed, meanwhile in Dining 1, 12 CMX20T 8-inch ceiling speakers and two Sub2200 subs were deployed.

A further eight CMX20T were positioned on the ceiling in Dining 2, whilst four Mask2 BL Cube speakers and two SublimeE- BL subs provided low end in the Wine Room. Meanwhile, 12 CMX20T speakers and two CMSub8s were installed into the Lounge, whilst six Mask6T-BL environmental cabinet speakers provide BGM for the outdoor dining area. Ten CM5E 5-inch ceiling loudspeakers were installed in the bathrooms.

Control and amplification is provided by two Zone4 pre amp venue mixers, three Zone4 R remote control wall plates with source selection, two Champ2 power amps, two PA2240BP dual channel 100V power amps, one Champ4 amp and two PubDrive-2000 amps.

‘The system has been a breeze to use from the beginning,’ said Patrick, Lalla Rookh GM. ‘Being able to control each zone from the remote control wall plates in each zone makes operation easier. The sound has also been amazing with the warmth and intelligibility provided by the Apart speakers. We have even had comments from our guests which is a surprise.’
