FS Audio flies the Indonesian flag for Ecler

INDONESIA: Having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, Spanish audio system specialist Ecler has named FS Audio as its new distributor for Indonesia. The newly formed company is a joint venture, for which the F belongs to Fadjar Gunawan and the S goes to Daniel Sim of Ecler’s Singaporean distributor SKM Auto. Based in the Mangga Dua electronics district of Jakarta, FS Audio’s showroom is home to sales support, servicing, administration and management.
Mr Gunawan is the distributor for high-end consumer brands such as Croft Audio in Indonesia. ‘For some time now, I have wanted to pursue an alternative distribution model to better serve professional audio brands, having designed and installed systems into larger projects,’ he declared. ‘As I have been working closely with SKM Auto in Singapore for the past 10 years for car accessories, I became interested in the distribution of Ecler products. Having heard demonstrations of their loudspeaker products, I was immediately hooked and drew up a business plan with Daniel.’
Following the execution of the business plan, FS Audio has already successfully bid to supply, design and install Ecler systems into the newly constructed Swiss-Belhotel International location in Yogyakarta. ‘The owner of the new hotel was familiar with Ecler systems and selected an extensive system to be installed on account of its quality and reliability,’ furthered Mr Gunawan. Asian sales manager Lawrence Lee is looking forward to working with FS Audio’s new team. ‘As the dealer network expands, training will feature high on our agenda. FS Audio are already well networked with systems integrators and projects based customers, so Ecler is looking forward to working with them all.’
