Fuzion Far East completes Thai Ministry of Defence installation

THAILAND: The function room of Thailand’s Ministry of Defence has been installed with a new sound reinforcement system including Nexo loudspeakers, Quest stage monitors and a Symetrix Jupiter 8 signal processor.

Based in the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters in Bangkok, the Ministry contracted A/V systems specialist Fuzion Far East to design and implement the new system. Included are four 8-inch Nexo PS8 loudspeakers, a PS8TD-V3 system controller and two LS400 subwoofers. Two Quest QM12MP stage monitors are used for fold-back while three Quest QA3004 two-channel amplifiers deliver power. Described as crucial to the installation meanwhile is the eight-in, eight-out Jupiter 8 signal processor, which accepts all of the input sources and delivers equalisation, limiting, mixing, and feedback suppression using the Gain-sharing Automixer 1 app.

‘We were excited to try the new Jupiter product because it uses context-specific apps, like on a smartphone, to minimise setup time,’ explained Fuzion Far East director Siri Wongkamolchun. ‘It was easy to program and worked perfectly from the very beginning. The A/V system is professional and functional, and pressing the room into service for lectures and meetings has been transparent and straightforward for the Ministry of Defense.’

Operation of the completed system is via a wireless touchscreen panel, on which users select an active input and the desired volume.
