Gefen appoints Asia Pacific sales director

ASIA: Gefen has appointed Rod Sommerich to the role of regional sales director for the far east and the Pacific Rim, where he will oversee all sales efforts throughout the region.
Mr Sommerich has an extensive background in the professional A/V and broadcast markets, having worked in these industries since 1984. Throughout his career so far he has held positions in operations, distribution, marketing, product management, business development and manufacturing, and has worked for Image Design Technology, SpinetiX and Amber Technology.
‘Someone with a combination of both operational and technical knowledge was a real asset to us,’ said Hagai Gefen, president, Gefen. ‘Rod has extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, general electronics, broadcast and production – all of which are pivotal areas of growth for Gefen.’
Based in Sydney, Mr Sommerich will lead the expansion of Gefen sales in the region.
