AUSTRALIA: Professional Audio Technology Pty Ltd recently announced that it has signed a contract with Global Television for the supply of various Lawo, DirectOut Technologies and Comrex products to Global Television at IBC.
Just 48 hours after the official launch of the new Lawo mc2 56 MKII on the opening day of IBC, Marc Segar, director of technical services from Global TV, Terry Manley, chief engineer for Global TV, Philip Lawo, CEO of Lawo AG and Patrick Salloch, managing director of Professional Audio Technology toasted the Global Televisions purchase of a new 48 fader mc2 56 MKII with HD core and Dallis I/O frames on the Lawo stand.
Mr Segar and Mr Manley flew to IBC to confirm their order of the new Lawo MC2 56 console with Mr Lawo. ‘We originally used the console for Big Brother and immediately liked it,’ confirmed Mr Segar. ‘Technically, the desk is excellent. In particular, our operators love its interface and the colour coding aspects of its operation. Lawo is definitely setting the new standard here in Australian television and radio.’ The new console was sold by Lawo’s Australian distributor Pro Audio Technology.
‘To have sold this amazing new console within 48 hours of its launch was certainly the highlight of the show for us,’ enthused Mr Salloch. ‘The fact that Global TV also purchased the new V_PRO8 in conjunction with the console is without a doubt the icing on the cake.’ The sale also included a V_PRO8 SDI embedder/de-embedder with various video features, which was also launched by Lawo just days before the deal was announced.
Also included in the deal were four Andiamo2.XT SRC’s, a ma2chbox.XT and various breakout panels form DirectOut Technology GmbH, which will see their first use during the taping of ‘My Kitchen Rules’ early next month. A further four Comrex DH20’s were also part of the purchase.
‘Once again we were fortunate enough to be able to supply Global Television with these world class manufacturers to add to their already impressive production arsenal,’ enthused Mr Salloch. ‘We value our ongoing relationship with Global Television and are looking forward to continuing our work with them.’
