Hard Rock Café VIP room hosts EAW system and founder

SINGAPORE: A newly completed VIP room within Singapore’s Hard Rock Café has been equipped with an EAW loudspeaker installation, as recently demonstrated on a visit to the venue by EAW founder Kenton Forsyth.

Located in the Orchard Road district of Singapore, the Hard Rock Café was initially opened following Chinese New Year in 1990, and Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd (E&E) has been supplying and installing audio systems for the venue – and others across the region from Beijing to Jakarta – ever since. The latest addition is a complement of ceiling mounted EAW LA215 loudspeakers in the VIP function room, in which the supplier organised a special event in honour of the visit of Mr Forsyth, who was returning from the recent Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta.

‘We cater for anything from small intimate birthdays to DJ parties ranging from 20-100 people,’ offered Hard Rock Cafe’s GM Mark Chan. Mr Chan has worked closely with E&E for many years and clearly enjoys the relationship he has forged with the newly-named EAW distributor. ‘I wanted a versatile speaker system which could provide great clarity for both speech and music to cater for the wide range of events we hold here and that’s exactly what E&E have provided me with in the form of the LA215s. It’s a great sounding speaker.’
