Harman India hosts first Goa Techbang

INDIA: Harman International India Pvt Ltd recently took its Harman Techbang multi-city event to Goa for the first time. The two day event was conducted in association with AVL Pro Global, its authorised dealer for the professional audio range for Goa.

The primary objective of the event was to create a platform for professional audio community in Goa, to come together and share industry best practices. According to the manufacturer, it proved to be an ideal platform for sound professionals to interact on live and portable audio technology and obtain training and live demonstrations on the Harman Professional product range. The multi-city event has previously been conducted in Mumbai, Kolkata.

‘Harman is often credited for creating benchmarks in the live sound space in India and we are indeed delighted to associate with them for this endeavour in Goa,’ said Ryan Mark Mathias, owner of AVL Pro Global. ‘With the support and the wealth of technical knowledge that the Harman team shared at the show, we received an overwhelming turnout. The event provided the ideal scenario for sound enthusiasts to experience Harman gear, and going forward we look forward to leveraging this association further.’

The two day event was held at A Estrela in Santa Cruz, Ilhas, Goa and attracted over 100 professionals from the local sound, entertainment and music industry.

The sessions began with a seminar and demo of Soundcraft Si Compact Series and Vi Series spread over two days by Harman Professional experts – Ashish Barje and Sudarshan Srinivasan. This was followed by technical demos, live rigging of JBL Vertec 4886, VRX, STX and PRX line of loudspeakers, amplifiers and sessions covered topics like frequency crossover, setting up of professional live sound gear and the best practices. The various the demos also highlighted wired and wireless systems  from AKG.

Apart from the interactive sessions by the various experts, there were also a host of special deals and offers on the Harman products. These received a tremendous response, with on-spot purchases as well as enquires for future orders.
