Hedland radio invests in AEQ Capitol mixer

AUSTRALIA: Hedland Community Radio, located in the city of Port Hedland (1,600km north of Perth), recently invested in an AEQ Captiol mixer for one of its two radio studios. The complete project was lead by Hedland Radio director Joan Foley in collaboration with Shane Pritchard, CTO of AEQ’s local partner, WirelessComponent.

The AEQ Capitol was selected due to its eight faders, offering a simple operation specifically designed for small radio stations, in addition to its option for remote-setup over the Internet for the first days of the installation.

The Capitol mixer includes four microphone inputs, 12 analogue line inputs, four AES3 digital inputs, eight analogue outputs, four digital AES3 digital outputs, two digital telephone hybrids built-in, and two USB I/O to connect to external automation systems.

The inauguration of the new digital radio studio took place at the recent Portbound Festival, and AEQ thanked the Hedland Radio team ‘for choosing AEQ's technology for this significant event’.
