HH Electronics appoints Australis Music Group

AUSTRALIA: Australis Music Group has been appointed as the exclusive Australian distributor for HH Audio, the famous British professional audio brand that was relaunched at the beginning of this year. HH sales manager Ian Wright has described the New South Wales-based supplier as ‘a solid business partner’.
HH Electronics was initially founded in the UK in 1968 and is widely viewed as a heritage brand, having been acquired by Laney Amplification in the 1990s. It re-emerged into the market earlier this year, using the Namm 2011 and Frankfurt Pro Light + Sound exhibitions as launch-pads. Included within the revamped HH range are active and passive full range enclosures, subwoofers and stage monitors alongside power amplifiers, powered mixers and more.
Australis Music Group is known as one of Australia’s leading MI distributors, servicing more than 240 retail outlets across the country and the Pacific Islands. Included within its portfolio are Tama, Ibanez and Laney. However, Mr Wright stressed that alongside offering HH to its retail partners, Australis would be making the brand available to ‘professional sound reinforcement installers’.
He added: 'We believe Australis Music Group will excel in representing this iconic British brand in their market. They currently represent Laney in Australia, so the addition of HH to their expansive portfolio of brands is a perfect fit.’
Australis Music Group’s CEO Trevor Morrow responded that the addition of HH represents ‘a very natural direction for us. To represent such a legendary British brand in Australia is an honour, and with its strong proposition of quality and value we believe we can grow the brand substantially.’
