Hi-Tech Audio Systems deploys JBL at Pizza Vito

INDIA: Hi-Tech Audio Systems Pvt Ltd recently installed JBL sound reinforcement systems into newly opened Pizza Vito restaurants in India. Suyog Hospitality Pvt Ltd became the first franchise to open up a Pizza Vito casual dining restaurant in Sector 18, Noida, and at a Quick Service restaurant in Gurgaon at the ILD Trade Centre.
‘As a brand, we could not lose the international feel of Pizza Vito,’ said Mr Cibichean, general manager of Pizza Vito. ‘Every bit of the work, from operations, sales, sourcing, to service had to be immaculate. We strive for perfection here, and like every restaurant, one of the most important things is the experience and the feel of the place.’
As such, the audio had to match the high standards. ‘The sound system installed had to be the best,’ he continued. ‘The overall assessment of the requirement led us to choose JBL. The availability of compatible products in every category saved us from running pillar to post to get the desired results, and Hi-Tech Audio Systems did a marvellous job in providing us with an excellent design and installation solution.’
The sound setup needed to be able to play two soundtracks simultaneously due to the venue being split between a fine dining area on the first floor and bar lounge section covering the second floor. During weekdays, both the zones have different lounge music playing, while a DJ performs at weekends.
‘One of the challenges faced was the ceiling height, which did not give enough choice in terms of speaker placement,’ admitted Vaibhav Kumar, national sales manager at Hi-Tech Audio Systems. ‘Also, due to a glass install at the front ends there were constraints as to how to position the speakers. We gave them Control 25AV surface-mount speakers from JBL along with Control 24 C flush-mounted ceiling speakers for the ground floor, powered by Crown XLS 1000 amplifiers.’
Meanwhile, the two-zone situation was taken care of by using dbx ZC 8 patch plates and ZonePro 640 processors, which worked as volume level controllers and zone selectors. For the first floor, JBL MRX 515 speakers and MRX 528S subwoofers were installed, along with Crown XLS 2000 and XLS 2500 amplifiers.
