CHINA: A recent concert at Hong Kong’s Discovery Bay Plaza sought to raise awareness and funds in aid of disaster relief for Japan, with Sennheiser providing support in the shape of a full set of microphones.
The outdoor concert – named Pray for Japan – was initiated by Christopher Johns, head of Entertainment Design and Technology at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Taking place in early April, it featured performances by artists including 31G, YRock, Jing Wong, O・Daiko, Helium 3, Cougar Bait, Sun Eskimos, Janet Rebbeck, Shirley Kwan and The Black Velvet Band.
Providing full sponsorship for the event, which followed the tragic Japanese earthquake and tsunami of March 2011, Sennheiser provided a broad range of evolution microphones including e935s, e914s, e906s, e905s, e901s and e614s.
