ISE launches charity for terminally ill children

WORLD: A/V and electronics system trade show Integrated Systems Europe has announced that it is launching a charitable programme named SeeHearTouch, a new initiative aimed at enhancing the lives of terminally ill children. The programme intends to equip children's hospices in a number of European countries with the latest home cinema and media technology.

Integrated Systems Events MD Mike Blackman explained that the ISE board of directors was keen to develop and expand on work that was pioneered by sales manager Ian Morrish in the UK, thereby ‘bringing together manufacturers, distributors and custom installers to deliver home-theatre systems to children's hospices that would otherwise not be able to afford them.’

Under the auspices of SeeHearTouch , ISE will seek the support of manufacturers and distributors willing to donate equipment to each project and that of integrators willing to undertake design and installation work. Part of the cost of that work will be met by SeeHearTouch.

‘As well as giving us a chance to channel some of the proceeds of our event to a good cause, we believe SeeHearTouch is a wonderful way for our community to contribute its expertise in a way that really makes a difference to terminally ill children and the people who care for them,’ Mr Blackman concluded.

The first hospice to benefit from the new initiative is Irmengard Hof in Chiemsee, Bavaria.
