MALAYSIA: The Istana Budaya (also known as The Palace of Culture) theatre in Kuala Lumpur has recently purchased Sennheiser's 5000 Series wireless microphone system with a total of 36 channels of transmitters coupled with 3000 Series receivers.
Sennheiser Asia, together with local distributor, Tegas Broadcast and Multimedia Sdn Bhd, worked closely with Istana Budaya in the system planning, integration and installation of the wireless microphone system.
The system was split into three rack systems, each comprising 12 channels of the EM 3732-II dual channel receivers coupled with SKM 5200-II handheld and SK 5212 bodypack transmitters. Ear Set 1 microphones were chosen for their sound quality, whilst the SK 5212-II bodypack transmitters were selected to match the demanding frequency situations.
All SKM 5200-II handheld transmitters were also paired with Neumann KK 105 capsules. To equip the Istana Budaya team with key technical know-how to operate the new wireless system, Sennheiser Asia’s senior consultant, Faz Salleh conducted a technical training session.
