J Davis Prosound amp Lighting chosen for MAD Festival

INDIA: J Davis Prosound & Lighting was selected as technical partner for the annual three-day Music Arts and Dance Festival that recently took place in Ooty in Tamil Nadu.
The festival area included the Blubaloo stage, the Jam Happy zone, the Bar, the Callaloo stage, the Food Square, the Coffee Lounge, the Mad Bazaar and Paintball Zone. Sound, lights and trussing were required for the Blubaloo and Callaloo stages, with J Davis deploying an L-Acoustics V-Dosc system and Avid SC48 consoles for FOH and monitors.
‘This is the first time we used Avid consoles for both monitors and FOH along with the new remote stage box system,’ commented chief sound engineer Santana Davis. ‘After Storm Festival this was another great success for us. It was indeed a great experience on both these festivals.’
The lighting for both stages comprised of standard fixtures of parcans, LED parcans, Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 1200s, PR Lighting Beam 300s, LED Palcos, LED moving washes, Robe 575 washes and SGM Color Labs. An LED mesh of 10 x 4m formed the main backdrop for the Callaloo stage for graphic designs and videos.
The 48-act line-up included Indian Ocean, Thermal and a Quarter, Moonarra, The Raghu Dixit Project, Hindi Zahra from France, No Blues from Amsterdam, Indialucia from Poland, La Pongal, Bicycle Days, Sulk Station and The Kabir Project.
