J Davis Prosound amp Lighting provides AV for Jai Hind Malayalam Film Awards

INDIA: J Davis Prosound & Lighting supplied the audio and visual equipment for the recent Jai Hind Malayalam Film Awards 2012 that were held at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Kerala. The event was organised by Jaihind TV and Impresario Events, and was attended by approximately 10,000 guests.
This marked the third year in a row that J Davis Prosound & Lighting was selected to provide the sound and lighting for the awards, whilst the company’s A/V division Graflex Inc, provided the LED solutions.
The VIP area was covered by a 43m-long structure, and for this, the team supplied eight L-Acoustics V-Dosc line arrays with eight SB218 subwoofers. Aside from this, a total of 16 V-Doscs were used to cover the remaining venue length of 70m. Four L-Acoustics Arcs systems were utilised as stage front-fills, whilst an additional two Arcs speakers with QSC subwoofers were used as side-fills.
L-Acoustics LA 48A amplifiers powered the main system, whilst eight Martin Audio LE1500 monitors were powered by Martin Audio amps. Meanwhile, a Dolby Lake processor controlled the system, and microphones were made up of products from Shure and Sennheiser. A Yamaha PM5D desk was used as the FOH console, which also controlled the monitors.
For lighting, the team provided 250 Parcans with Pulsar Datapak dimmer racks, 12 Claypaky Alpha HPE 1200 spots, 16 PR Lighting beams, 16 LED moving head washes, eight 575 Robe washes, 72 3W Led Pars – all which were controlled by two Avolites 2010 lighting boards and W-DMX wireless DMX controllers.
Graflex Inc provided LED slim line panels and mesh for the main backdrop, along with a centre LED wall.
