INDONESIA: A special seminar for the Indonesian radio sector was recently hosted in Jakarta by PT Kinarya Swarna, the Indonesian distributor of Harman Professional brand Studer. Taking place on April 25th, the seminar was held at the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel, attracting more than 70 attendees.
The Seminar was intended to showcase Studer’s OnAir console range, particularly the recently launched Studer OnAir 1500. The OnAir 2500 was also displayed.
Meanwhile, Studer regional sales director Keith Prestidge and sales engineer Yee Tat Nam both presented a technical overview of the brand’s products, while digital radio system design was covered with discussions covering audio networking, studio workflow and control connectivity.
‘Modern radio control surfaces need to be highly ergonomic in design,’ said Yee Tat Nam. ‘They also need the control connectivity to talk to other equipment in a way that ultimately makes it easier for the on air talent to perform without errors. Control surfaces, however, still must have access to all the sophisticated features should they be required. Studer has invested a lot of effort into the surface design to get both these aspects right.’
Mr Prestidge added: ‘We are very excited by the future prospects in Indonesia and look forward to designing innovative solutions for the Indonesian market.’
