Jakartas Monaco Club distinguishes itself with Martin Audio
Published: ASIA
INDONESIA: Located in south Jakarta, the Monaco Club is the latest bar and club to emerge on the Jalan Mahakam. Conceptually designed by Dutch owner Alex Tian and managed by Mr Rama, Monaco invested heavily in a Martin Audio sound system to differentiate itself from others in the same district.
Live performances are on the bill seven nights a week. Prior to 11pm, entertainment takes the form of acoustic and electric live performances on a split stage, whilst the adjacent DJ booth cranks into life after this watershed. Above the DJ and stage area are two ceiling suspended three-way Blackline H3H+ speaker systems, whilst under the stage, two Blackline dual 18-inch S218+ subwoofers provide the necessary low frequencies for the dance floor. Away from the dance floor, two wall-mounted F15+ speakers provide ambiance in the bar and seating areas, supplemented by floor standing AQ215 dual 15-inch subwoofers. The upper floor area, with its own separate bar, is served by four Blackline F10+ wall mounted speakers and four ceiling suspended CS10 subwoofers.
The entire system, which was designed, supplied and installed by PT Citra Intirama, is powered by Powersoft LD2004 and K3 amplifiers in addition to two Martin Audio MA 4.8 and single Martin Audio MA6.8 and MA1400 amplifiers. Mixing is performed on a Soundcraft F16 analogue console, whilst a Martin Audio DX1.5 2-input, 6-output digital loudspeaker management system provides high and low filters, nine bands of parametric equalisation, limiter delays, gain and polarity. In addition, an ARX Afterburner has been added as a compressor.
The musicians are assisted by two FBT HiMaxx 40 monitors on stage, whilst the house DJ’s perform their mixes on dual Pioneer CDJ900 players and a DJM800 mixer.
