Japan’s BSS turns to Grass Valley

JAPAN: San-In based commercial broadcaster, BSS TV, has installed a number of broadcast solutions from Grass Valley. BSS has implemented an LDX Compact Premiere camera for its small news studio, as well as three K2 Summit media servers, a Concerto routing switcher, five Jupiter routing switcher control solutions, five Edius multiformat nonlinear video editing software solutions, and K2 San storage for its news operation.

‘We’ve been using Grass Valley’s Edius software for many years and have been very pleased with it, so when it came time to upgrade our camera system, it made absolute sense for us to test the LDX camera at InterBEE,’ explained Mr Akiyama, technical division manager at BSS. ‘We were immediately impressed with the excellent image quality and the compact body of the camera.’

‘We’re excited that BSS has chosen Grass Valley solutions for its newsroom upgrade and that we were able to provide such a detailed demonstration of our LDX Compact at the InterBEE show,’ added Stephen Wong, senior vice president of Asia Pacific, Grass Valley. ‘We designed our entire LDX line with power, speed, and flexibility in mind so broadcasters of all sizes can take advantage of its powerful capabilities and stellar image quality.’
