JBL partners with Duran on Intellivox

WORLD: Following the acquisition made by Harman last year, JBL Professional has announced that Duran Audio’s array of loudspeakers for installed sound technology applications will be incorporated into the JBL Professional brand. The move is aimed at strengthening JBL Professional’s standing as a manufacturer for installed audio loudspeakers of all varieties. The new products will be sold as the JBL Intellivox and JBL AXYS product series.

According to JBL, Intellivox loudspeakers are known for delivering high fidelity, where speech intelligibility is a paramount requirement. The company states that the ‘addition of Duran Audio to Harman’s portfolio of commercial audio and lighting technology companies underscores its strategy to complement continued growth through targeted acquisitions in adjacent technology.’
