Josh Wei named Audio-Technica System 10 ambassador

SINGAPORE: Violinist Josh Wei has been selected as the latest Audio-Technica System 10 ambassador. He is also the youngest artist to join the programme, which is designed to promote the manufacturer’s digital wireless system for performers and presenters, and will be showcasing System 10 at upcoming performances.

‘It is a dream combination,’ remarked Evelyn Woo, marketing manger for Audio-Technica (S.E.A). ‘Josh has an incredible stage presence and he should not be hampered by wires and whatnots. Without such restrictions, System 10 can definitely bring out the best in Josh’s performances and give him peace of mind to rock on.’

At just 18 years old, Mr Wei has already managed to craft a niche market for himself in the Singapore music industry, working with artists including The Sam Willows, Gentle Bones, Sarah Cheng De-Winne, Monster Cat, Alarice and Esther Lowless, at numerous local and international festivals. He is also no stranger to the studio, recording for both local and international acts with producers and engineers such as Leonard Soosay, Geoffrey Low (Glow), Frank Lee and Roland Lim.

In the near future Mr Wei plans to tour the region, collaborating with international artists. He will be using System 10’s ATW-R1100 wireless receiver, ATW-T1001 body-pack transmitter, ATM350cw clip-on instrument microphone, and ATH-IM04 in-ear monitoring earphones.
