K-Array installed at Pan Pacific Hotel

SINGAPORE: In collaboration with Sennheiser Asia, K-Array’s distributor for the region, Concept Systems has supplied the luxurious five star Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore with both fixed and mobile audio equipment.
The Atrium at Pan Pacific is described as ‘strikingly elegant and modern’. Its unique space is filled with handmade timbre pods and tables that ‘float’ suspended above a tropical blue pool. To complement the ambience, Concept Systems installed six KK100 passive line arrays connected with two KL12 subwoofers. These were chosen due to the ability to be ‘subtly’ embedded in the environment. They are all powered by a KA10-10 amplifier. In addition, a portable Redline KR102 system was selected to cater for live performances in the lounge area.
Sennheiser Asia and Concept Systems also chose the equipment used for the hotel’s pool parties, including the Singapore Formula 1 race organised by the fan club Massive Collective, where it was necessary to cover a large area with powerful sound. For this application four KH4’s connected to six sub KS4’s and four KO70 subs, were controlled by a KR402 system.
‘The K-array speakers we used sounded very balanced despite the odd-shaped venue,’ said Stas Madorski, DJ for the event. ‘Clarity at all frequencies was excellent and the bass response was great too.’
‘The sound was loud and clear throughout the entire event. It was truly a great sound system to play on, a perfect ten out of ten,’ added Mathias Schell, Swiss DJ and producer who was also performing on the night. ‘The event was a huge success. Everything from the stage setup to the sound system and the people who attended the party were great.’
