WORLD: US-based microphone manufacturer Royer Labs has appointed Kevin Parker to the newly created role of director of sales. Based at the company’s headquarters in Burbank, California, Mr Parker assumed his new position in January.
The role sees Mr Parker taking responsibility for overseeing the manufacturer’s domestic dealer base whilst managing a number of Royer’s international dealers and distributors. He will also be working on initiatives intended to increase the company’s domestic and international market share whilst assisting with artist relations.
Mr Parker’s career has spanned a number of roles principally within the MI sector, most recently including a period as director of sales, marketing, and artist relations for Fryette Amplification. He has also served as product manager for US-based MI dealership Guitar Center, and enjoyed stints with Budda Amplification and Mesa Boogie.
‘With over 25 years of experience in the MI and pro audio segments of this industry, I believe my background in sales, marketing, and retail makes me well suited for the responsibilities of this new position,’ Mr Parker commented. ‘I look forward to contributing to the company’s continuing growth as we move forward.’
John Jennings, Royer Labs’ VP of sales and marketing, added: ‘Kevin came to Royer highly recommended and in the brief time he’s been with us, he’s already proven to be a valuable asset to the team and a hard-working, forward-thinking contributor to our company’s efforts. I’m very pleased to have Kevin on board. It’s clear that he’ll bring even more to Royer than we originally expected.’
