Kling amp Freitag appoints Linfair Engineering for Taiwan

TAIWAN: Taipei-based supplier Linfair Engineering has been named as the new exclusive distributor for Kling & Freitag in Taiwan, with general manager Paul Chang assuming direct responsibility for the German loudspeaker brand. The appointment follows a period of increased visibility for Kling & Freitag within key Asian markets, including last year’s appointment of MYC as its exclusive representative within China.
Linfair Engineering was founded by Linfair Chang in 1958, though Duncan Chang – a former president of the Taiwan Association of Theatre Technology – has now led the company for 30 years, with his son Paul having latterly assumed the role of general manager. According to the distributor, a number of projects are already underway using Kling & Freitag products.
Speaking after the announcement, Paul Chang commented: ‘We are delighted to represent Kling & Freitag in the Taiwanese market. We feel that the superior quality fits well with our range of products and look forward to growing the brand in Taiwan.’
