Klipsch consolidates Australian distribution

AUSTRALIA: Klipsch has streamlined its Australian distribution setup by parting ways with many of its partners in the region, retaining only one of them. Long-term Klipsch distributor QualiFi will now serve as its exclusive Australian partner.

The move forms a part of Klipsch’s new distribution strategy covering the APAC region. ‘A core tenet of Klipsch Group’s global strategy is to increase focus in all markets,’ explained Vince Bonacorsi, Klipsch general manager, Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. ‘When we assessed our strategy in Australia, it was apparent to us we needed to simplify the business and streamline our distribution. This will allow us to create a more effective brand image.’

QualiFi originally took on distribution responsibilities for Jamo in 1982 and began its relationship with Klipsch when the American manufacturer acquired the Danish brand in 2005. ‘Loudspeaker distribution has been the backbone for QualiFi since we started Jamo distribution,’ said QualiFi CEO Michael Henriksen. ‘We are very excited to now represent both Jamo and the full suite of Klipsch products which we believe has a huge potential in the Australian market.’
