Klotz ais relocates to new headquarters

WORLD: Relocating offices can be something of a logistical nightmare for many companies, but for cabling innovator Klotz ais, the problems were mitigated by the short distance between old and new premises, located 100m apart.
The German cabling innovator has focused on designing a positive and productive working environment for its employees. Whilst the open architecture layout promotes personal communication, all the workstations are bathed in natural light and benefit from having the most up to date technical equipment. In addition, a video conferencing system offers effective communication with the factory, located 300km away in Vilchband, in addition to customers around the globe and sales managers around the world including Singapore. A total of 35 online training sessions have been held in the first six months of 2015, primarily focusing on fibre-optic technology.
The spacious Vaterstetten premises and showroom currently employ 35 people engaged in purchasing, HR, accounting, R&D, cable and metal design, technical customer care, aftersales support, sales, order processing, product management operations, management, web design and production planning. The interior design embeds the manufacturer's corporate identity, including a backlit, solid wood Klotz logo in the entrance foyer. Just as the manufacturer opts to adopt an ecological footprint of its products by extending service life, the 35-year old developer selected appropriate materials for the interior of the new company premises, all of which are in keeping with the green, sustainable message. To maintain these standards, Klotz ais recently introduced a Quality Management system, obtaining ISO 9001:2008 standard certification.
