KME Pano system installed at Knox Grammar school

AUSTRAILA: Professional Audio Technology has delivered a Pano series line array public address system to the Knox Grammar School in Sydney. The school’s 1,000-capacity sports hall received the installation.

The sports hall, which holds three basketball courts and a spectator seating gallery, often doubles as a venue for concerts. Front of house consists of four QL1215 Pano series line source units powered by a DA428 digital amplifier, plus two QLB118 Pano series subwoofers providing low end, powered by a KME DA230.

‘Before making our recommendation to Knox Grammar, we met with the client, discussed its needs, analysed the acoustic characteristics of the room and took into account what the system would be used for,’ explained Professional Audio Technology’s technology specialist Alan Liddelow. ‘We thought that a small Pano system was a future-proofed solution providing the highest quality sound, an even sound dispersion, and more than enough headroom to deal with anything that might be thrown at the system.’

Mr Liddelow added that PAT recommended the Pano series based on the school’s requirement for a small system that could provide enough SPL to provide the sound engineer with headroom during events.

Mr Liddelow described himself as ‘extremely satisfied’ with the performance and clarity of the school’s new system, adding that, ‘the client is very happy with its buying decision, which is imperative’.
