Kuala Lumpur Hard Rock Cafe equipped with EAW

MALAYSIA: Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd has recently upgraded the Jalan Sultan Ismail-based Kuala Lumpur Hard Rock Cafe's FOH system with speakers from EAW.

Having installed new EAW loudspeakers into the restaurant chain’s two Singaporean locations this year, when turning its attention to the Kuala Lumpur branch, the 60-year old distributor and systems integrator chose L-R ceiling hung clusters comprising three JFL210 speakers per side. These now supply the decibels for live acts performing at the branch.

Powered by the existing amplification system, the JFL210 compact line array loudspeaker combines two 10-inch woofers and a 1.4-inch-exit compression driver matched with a horn for precise directivity within a frequency range spanning 65Hz – 18kHz.

‘We cater for anything from small intimate birthdays to DJ parties ranging from 20-100 people,’ offered the Hard Rock Cafe’s GM Asha Mosley. Mr Mosley has worked closely with E&E for many years and clearly enjoys the relationship he has forged with the supplier.

‘I wanted a versatile speaker system which could provide great clarity for both speech and music to cater for the wide range of events we hold here – and that’s exactly what E&E have provided me with in the form of the JFL210s. It’s a great sounding speaker,’ he enthused.

E&E has been supplying and installing background music and front of house audio systems into Asian Hard Rock Cafes from Singapore to Beijing since 1990.
