KV2 Audio discovered in Singapore’s Pyramid

SINGAPORE: Originally built in 1926, St James’ was Singapore's first coal-fired power plant supplying electricity to the shipyards and residences. Since 2005 the refurbished brick built icon has boasted 11 nightclubs, covering 6,500 sq-m of floor space, for which patrons need only pay one charge to gain access to all outlets.

Pyramid recently opened its doors in St James, with Hertz II called upon to design, supply and install the sound, lighting and LED wall equipment for the high octane club. A KV2 Audio loudspeaker system comprising four ES1.0 modules together with four ES1.8 single 18-inch and ES2.6 double 15-inch subwoofers has been suspended in an L-R configuration. The rig is powered and processed via four EPAK2500R units.

‘When combining the ES1.0 with the ES1.8 and ES2.6 subwoofers, you have created the highest dynamic range speaker system in its class,’ stated Hertz II director Gerald Ng. ‘The owner of Pyramid, Nick Lim, demanded clarity, power, depth and resolution. We have duly delivered on these criteria.’

A Behringer X-32 digital console has also been installed for mixing live performances, working together with the KV2 Audio loudspeaker system in addition to four channels of Shure SLX wireless microphones.
