L-Acoustics and Sennheiser make Future Music Festival a hit

MALAYSIA: L-Acoustics line array systems and Sennheiser evolution wireless G3 100 series microphones were used at the recent Future Music Festival Asia 2012. Taking place at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, the one-day event saw headliners The Chemical Brothers, Flo Rida and Pendulum take the stage, witnessed by a crowd of approximately 30,000 people.
The L-Acoustics and Sennheiser gear was utilised across all four performance stages, which was made possible through the event’s official sound, light and stage producer Digital Aid Sdn Bhd, together with local L-Acoustics rental partner, Orange Events Sdn Bhd.
A total of 18 Kudo cabinets were coupled with 12 SB28 subwoofers and nine sets of LA8 amplified controllers for the main Future stage. Meanwhile, four 112P co-axial speakers, eight Kara cabinets and two SB218 subwoofers provided further side-fill support.
FOH on the Flamingo stage comprised 18 Kudo cabinets and 12 SB28 subwoofers. Meanwhile, the Escape stage was supported by L-Acoustics’ Kara system with four cabinets per side. Both stages were supported by Orange Events Sdn Bhd.
An L-Acoustics V-Dosc system was utilised for the Las Venus stage with the Arcs speakers used at FOH.
