LaON facilitates Bodyguard comms

KOREA: The Bodyguard is currently playing at the LG Arts Center in Seoul. CJ E&M is the production company that acquired the rights to the musical in Korea and is staging the show. To facilitate communications between the various staff members and technical teams that run the show, CJ E&M contracted systems integrator Soundvalley, led by Do Kyoung Kwon, which deployed a LaON system acquired from the manufacturer’s Korean distributor, Flying Scott.

A pair of LT550 digital wireless intercom systems were deployed at the 1,100-seat venue. These were setup in the backstage passageway, each connected to a wired intercom system. A total of 14 wireless beltpacks were supplied to the various teams, including lighting and electrical.

‘Soundvalley has been using LaON intercom systems for three years for popular musicals such as Kinky Boots, Death Note, Jekyll and Hyde and Man of La Mancha,’ said a spokesperson from Flying Scott. ‘The users are very satisfied with the audio quality and rich number of full-duplex channels. I am pleased to support this large-scale musical with LaON 5GHz intercom systems.’
