Lawo streamlines networking on the Roof of the World

CHINA: Tibet People's Radio Station contracted Chinese systems integrator Infomedia Digital Technology at the start of the year to network all of the station’s studios in Lhasa using a single central router. The systems integrator went on to place orders for mixing and routing equipment from Lawo.
A Nova 73 HD router core serves as the foundation of the system and Infomedia will deploy a Lawo Sapphire 12-fader mixing desk in each of the station’s eight on-air studios, while the 12 dubbing studios will be equipped with the 8-fader Crystal mixing desks.
The system was selected due to the operational redundancy provided via its dual-star router topology that includes Madi and IP hybrid systems, which will allow the client to upgrade and expand the solution in the future. ‘Lawo is the technology leader in broadcast audio, with high reliability and safety,’ noted a spokesperson from Infomedia.
