Mackie chooses China for worldwide mixer launch

CHINA: Mackie has opted to stage the worldwide launch of its updated ProFX mixer range at Beijing’s Palm Expo China exhibition, working in conjunction with its exclusive distributor Lee Sheng. The launch is intended to reflect the importance of the Chinese market to the Loud Technologies brand, with CEO Mark Graham commenting that ‘there is no better show to hold the worldwide launch’.
Comprising the new 16-channel ProFX16 and 22-channel ProFX22 (alongside the already in-production ProFX8 and ProFX12), the updated range includes features such as an integrated 32-bit RMFX effects processor, a seven-band GEQ, three-band EQ on each channel, a USB interface for recording and, in the new models, an increase in the number of mic pres plus dedicated inline compression. The two desks are intended, the manufacturer reports, for mid-sized applications seeking an ‘out-of-the-box’ solution.
Regarding the decision to launch in China, Mr Graham explained: ‘Mackie has always enjoyed strong support from our Chinese customers, and the Asian market as a whole, and this launch is proof of our returned commitment to these key markets. Further, we are extremely pleased to have Lee Sheng as our exclusive Mackie distributor in China. Our Chinese dealers will certainly profit from their enthusiasm and commitment, and strong ties with LOUD's US-based engineering, support and marketing teams.’
Palm Expo China is taking place between May 26th and May 29th at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing.
