Marcoms specialist joins APG for brand visibility

WORLD: French loudspeaker specialist APG has announced the addition of Jonathan Grimaux to its team in the role of marketing and communications assistant. Mr Grimaux was formerly head of product marketing for a video production equipment manufacturer where, the manufacturer states, he ‘gained an excellent knowledge of the performing arts and events market’.
The appointment of Mr Grimaux follows the June arrival of Bruno Garros as executive vice president of global sales and business development, as well as a 25 per cent shareholder in the company. At that time Mr Garros suggested that APG would be bolstering its human resources.
Described as a ‘specialist in the strategic web marketing and e-communications techniques necessary to support the dynamics of international development’, Mr Grimaux is also reportedly passionate about audio. His main role at APG is to develop corporate communications across all available media with the aim of increasing brand visibility and awareness.
Following the announcement, Gregory Dapsanse, executive vice president of R&D and marketing, described himself as ‘thrilled’ with the appointment. ‘He is competent, motivated and a genuine audiophile,’ he commented. ‘He already has a very good grounding in the markets in which we operate, and is totally at ease in an IT/web-driven environment. I am convinced that he will be an extremely valuable asset to the marketing department in particular and the APG team as a whole, and I’m looking forward to working on future projects with him.’
Mr Grimaux added: ‘Although I’ve been working in video for the last few years, my real passion is audio, so when the opportunity presented itself at APG, I grabbed it with both hands! This is a key role at the heart of a dynamic company with a great range of products. APG is now a major player in their domestic market and gaining prominence internationally, so I couldn’t have joined at a better time. There’s a lot to do and I’m eager to get started.’
