MC² powers Taipei’s Family Theatre

TAIWAN: Family Theatre in Taipei has been outfitted with a new audio solution comprising loudspeakers from SLS Audio and amplifiers from MC² Audio. Starting out life as an auditorium and meeting space for government employees before being transformed into a public theatre, the venue has been constantly reinvented to great success. With the latest renovation project focused on the theatre's acoustics, MC²’s Taiwan distributor, Super Light Technology, recommended a replacement main speaker system.
The new system comprises two hangs of SLS Audio LS8000 Line Array elements, four LSB8115 subwoofers and a pair of 112RT-Is used for front fill. These are driven by nine MC² T2000 amplifiers and a pair of T3500s. The stage also features a further four Q208 monitor wedges, and these are driven by a pair of T1500 amps.
Following the installation and general improvements to the acoustics of the space, Super Light Technology was so proud of the work that it requested a third party analysis be conducted. The tests reportedly showed a level uniformity of +2dB, to great satisfaction from all involved.
